Travel Specialist Job Description

The Work & Travel Agent must have exceptional organizational skills, self-motivation and be able to work as a part of a team. This individual requires a thorough knowledge of business process expertise and problem-solving skills contributing to high-quality customer service. 

The Work & Travel Agent must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.


Work & Travel Agent Core Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to conduct travel-related consultations such as embassy prep sessions for in-person interviews (all countries) and general visitor visa consultations.
  • Responsible for reviewing and completing visitor visa, e-visa, and transit visa applications. These may be conducted with in-office clients or online applications.
  • Responsible for making travel bookings and sending booking itineraries.
  • Responsible for creating supporting documents for visa applications.
  • Responsible for checking visa progress and updating accordingly.
  • Responsible for supporting the Receptionist and accepting calls, chats, and emails. This will include working closely the Team Lead. 
  • Responsible for all travel-related workflows such as Jira, Confluence, Calendly, Zipbooks, and any other related platforms.
  • Responsible for participating in a personal recruitment drive, this will occur at colleges and universities but is not limited to.
  • Provided general support to the team where necessary.


Requirements & Qualifications:

1. 5 Cxc’s including English.

2. Requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in customer service.

3. Must have excellent verbal and written skills

4. Ability to work well in a team environment

5. Strong time management skills

6. Excellent multitasking skills

7. Strong analytical skills

8. Highly developed attention to detail

9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

10. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Location: Unit 8, 18 Balmoral Avenue, Kingston

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000JMD

Type: Contract Full Time - 2 year 

Operation: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
