The program caters nurses who seek to live and work in Canada. The program does not provide jobs for nurses. This program supports nurses in accomplishing the regulatory steps in order to work and live in Canada.
The Canada Nurse Regulatory Program is a foundational program that supports nurses whose aim is to work and live in Canada. The program will take nurses through different stages, including English evaluation, WES accreditation, NNAS assessment report, Provincial license, and Immigration support.
This program timeline is around 6–12 months; each stage will have its own processing time. Nurses, however, can seek expedited provinces such as New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Newfoundland and Labrador within an 6 months period.
You will be required to sit the IELTS Exam which will test your general English language for Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. IELTS Exam result is required for Express Entry and PNP Nurse Stream.
Educational Credential Assessment (ECA for IRCC Canada): This will be required for your Express Entry, PNP and PR application.
The National Nursing Assessment Service (NNAS) is a Canadian Not-for-profit organization that offers a streamlined process for Internationally Registered Nurse (IEN). Registered Nurse and Practical Nurse will have the option to select which province they would like to practice in.
All nurses will be required to sit the NCLEX Exam. Testing locations are Canada and USA. If nurses do not hold a Canada or USA visitor visa, we do provide support with the visitor visa application.
Once you have received your assessment report from National Nursing Assessment Service (NNAS), you will be required to submit an application for license via that regulator board. Note, some regulator broad my ask to sit an exam such as NCLEX RN or NCLEX PN.
