Canada Caregiver Regulatory Program
Canada is seeking eligible caregivers to support Canadian Families. We provide regulatory support to allow caregivers to seek jobs and live in Canada.
Overview
Caregiving is an issue that affects all Canadians. One in four Canadians is a caregiver for someone with a long-term health condition, disability or need related to aging at some point in their lives. It is estimated that 75% of care is provided by caregivers.
More than ever before, Canada’s caregivers are being recognized for their important contributions. Recently Canada has made a major commitment to experience caregiver in providing inbound permanent residency.
Eligibility
The new pilot programs will provide home care workers with permanent residence (PR) on arrival in Canada. They will also be allowed to work for organizations that provide temporary or parttime care for people who are semi-independent or recovering from an injury or illness. This new pathway means that caregivers can more easily find proper work with reliable employers and have clear, straightforward access to permanent resident status as soon as they arrive in Canada.
Through these new pilot programs, candidates interested in working in Canada’s home care sector will be eligible to apply if they meet the following criteria:
- attain a minimum of level 4 based on the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB)
- hold the equivalent of a Canadian high school diploma
- have recent and relevant work experience
- receive an offer for a full-time home care job

Get Regulated
To qualify for the Canada Caregiver Pilot Program, you must first meet the eligibility requirements for the program in order to get Permanent Residency. The Passport Work and Travel Services Limited's Study Team gives support to regulate professionals like your self.
Requirements
To be able to apply for the Canada Caregiver Regulatory Program you must have the following:
- Valid Passport more than 6 months.
- CV/Resume with 1yr of caregiver experience.
- High School Leaving Certificate and CXCs (You will require High School Transcript and a minimum 5CXCS with Math and English)
- If you have a diploma/degree, this is accepted. (Certificates are not accepted)
Please note: You must ensure that your school is accredited internationally.
What do we do?
Our Study Team, will support you in getting you regulated and prepared for applying for potential jobs in Canada. We will do the following:
- Book your IELTS Exam and Provide Training Tools
- World Education Services Credential Assessment
- Create Standard Canadian Resume
- Create Canada Job Bank Account and List to best employer job list in Canada (Used by successful past caregivers)
Note: We do not cover the provider payments for IELTS and WES.
How can you apply?
The Canada Caregiver Regulatory Program fee to join the program is $24,000JMD. Fees can be paid with the options below:
